We recently acquired a beautiful Winchester Rifle Model 1886. It has a serial number of 50957 making it a circa 1891 issue. This vintage original lever action is an American Classic. The serial numbers have been verified; it’s well maintained, has rarely been fired, and is in excellent condition. This rifle is a beautiful piece of American Frontier History.

Originally designed by John Browning, an innovator of firearms in the 19th & 20th century, this rifle is still considered one of the finest lever action rifles of the time-period.  Known for it’s reliability, quality, ease of use, and accuracy. The 1886 model was so favored at the time, a modified version was even used by the Royal Flying Corps in WWI. It was also a well-known big game favorite of Teddy Roosevelt. In fact, at the turn of the century, it was the premiere big game hunting rifle of North America.

Now, you can own a piece of pioneer history with this limited, rare rifle which had an original run of about 160,000. Expertly finished, made of fine quality, one look at this sturdy gun will tell you why it has lasted so long and remained so favored.
